The Campbell River School District has approximately 5,240 students and 19 schools. Since 2005 the district has been welcoming international students to come and study in Campbell River. Our schools provide high academic standards while offering a wide variety of elective courses in technology, fine arts, the social sciences, languages, leadership and athletics.
The Campbell River School District enjoys strong ties with several post-secondary institutions including the University of British Columbia (UBC), Simon Fraser University (SFU), the University of Victoria (UVic), Vancouver Island University (VIU), and North Island College.
The guiding principles of our International Program are to:
- Enhance and increase contact in the classroom with students from around the world.
- Support experiential learning through interaction and activities that develop knowledge and appreciation for the diversity of culture.
- Create opportunities for students to experience cross-cultural learning and skill development.
- Be at the forefront of learning that develops the talent and potential of students to communicate and live in a diverse world.
